For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.
Homelessness as a paradigm, as a way of being in the world, as a lifestyle, as ethical and aesthetic normatively opens the door to accepting the other as she is, not as how we want her to be. Only when home has vanished and humanity is no longer territorialized, only then there will be a chance for humanity.
